HWY 41 CONSTRUCTION UPDATE

With construction activity and seasonal travel picking up, we ask for you to plan ahead, allow extra time, and use caution in the work zone to keep everyone safe. The I-41 Project has two long-term closures beginning on Monday, April 27 in Outagamie County.  Check out the details below and remember to visit our project website for the latest traffic impacts and project updates to help you avoid delays.

WIS 96 Interchange

  • WIS 96 (Wisconsin Avenue) on-ramp to northbound I-41 will close at 8 p.m., Monday, April 27 through fall
  • For additional details, please view the project brief at the end of the email
  • An adjacent project is underway on WIS 96 (Wisconsin Avenue) between Badger Avenue and Casaloma Drive, including pavement improvements and railroad crossing upgrades. Short-term lane closures are expected as part of this work.

County U Interchange

  • County U, from the northbound I-41 ramps to just south of East Frontage Road/French Road, will close at 6 a.m., Monday, April 27 through mid-summer
  • County U between the southbound and northbound ramps will continue to have overnight full closures for bridge demolition and construction activities
  • The closures are intermittent and expected to last through late April

What’s next on the I-41 Project:

I-41/WIS 441 System Interchange

  • The northbound WIS 441 ramp to northbound I-41 is scheduled to open on May 1, 2026

WIS 47/Richmond Street Interchange

  • The WIS 47/Richmond Street bridge over I-41 is scheduled to close Tuesday, May 19 through fall 2026
  • The I-41 on- and off-ramps at WIS 47/Richmond Street are scheduled to close this summer through fall 2026
