Soft tissue lasers are used in dentistry to manipulate soft tissues in the mouth, such as gum tissue and muscle attachment points. They can be used for a variety of procedures, including:
- Gum disease: Removing unhealthy gum tissue and killing bacteria that causes infection
- Oral surgery: Excisions such as frenectomies, epulis fissuratum, and fibromas
- Cauterization: Cauterizing small blood vessels and lymphatics to reduce post-operative swelling and pain.
Soft tissue lasers are a less invasive alternative to traditional dental methods and can be more comfortable and faster.
We are using:
Diode Laser: These lasers are best for soft tissue surgery and have wavelengths of 810, 940, and 980nm. They are less invasive than a dental drill and can result in faster healing.
